On Tuesday 29th of November and as part of LSBU (London South Bank University) delegation visiting BUE (British University in Egypt) to validate the new law program, Dr. Andy Angus made a visit to the newly established Faculty of Law and met the academic staff premises. At the end of the day, Dr. Andy gave a lecture on the topic of Euthanasia discussing its moral and legal aspects. Dr. Andy began his talk by defining euthanasia according to the British law and then started discussing the differences between such definition and the definition established in the Egyptian law. Captivated by the discussion, students and faculty members actively participated. The discussion span from the history of euthanasia and its moral dilemma to its types and their different legal situation, and the current international trend toward euthanasia and the future of it in the British and Egyptian legal systems. Dr. Andy concluded his talk by expressing that he is impressed by the quality of questions and arguments put forward by the students. He also introduced the new partnership between LSBU and the BUE Faculty of Law briefly emphasizing the great learning opportunities it opens to BUE law students.
