In an attempt to maximize our potential for a vibrant and dynamic environment of teaching and learning; the Faculty of Law is extremely pleased to announce joining Dr. Abdel-Aziz Salman the academic staff in September 2017.
Dr. Abdel-Aziz Salman is currently the vice president of the Supreme Constitutional Court. Dr. Salman also retains his position as Secretary General of the Presidential Election Committee and adjunct Professor of constitutional and administrative law in a number of Egyptian universities. He has contributed as a distinguished former leader of Egypt’s State Commissioners Board. His expertise spans the constitutional judiciary and jurisprudence, the constitutional court: jurisdiction and legitimacy, the control over constitutionality of laws, the legal effects of the Supreme Constitutional Court judgements, the constitutional litigation and arbitration process. Furthermore, Dr. Salman plays a worldwide pivotal role in firmly establishing the constitutional right to freedom of opinion and expression as well as the fundamental rights and equality.
The top-notch Dr. Salman is regularly recognized in Egypt and ranked as a world leading practitioner and expert in constitutional and administrative law. Dr. Salman served as a member of the Egyptian Constitution Drafting Committee, a counselor at the Bahraini Council of Representatives, a trainer of judges in Palestine, and a speaker in Cyprus proceedings. Undoubtedly, the high caliber scholar, Dr. Salman will add a distinguished value by deepening and broadening our research and teaching interests.
