In a ceremony hosted at the BUE’s campus in Sherouk and in the presence of the University President, the Dean of the Faculty of Law, Andersen Tax & Legal Managing Director and esteemed members as well as a number of lawyers and economists, a cooperation protocol was signed between the Faculty of Law and Andersen Tax & Legal to exchange research activities in relevant areas. This includes providing faculty students with training courses by Andersen Tax & Legal to prepare them for joining the practical legal world.
The BUE Faculty of Law will soon be graduating its first class of distinguished students who will receive a bachelor’s degree in law from Egypt, as well as the LLB degree from the University of London South Bank in England. The University aims at graduating distinguished students through supporting them with the needed research tools and training given by legal experts from internationally renowned law firms.
Andersen Tax & Legal in Egypt will enable students of the Faculty of Law to train in its office in Egypt or one of its offices around the world. The students would benefit from the experts and specialists in all areas of law. In addition, job opportunities will be offered to distinguished graduates.
Andersen Tax & Legal is one of the most leading firms providing a wide range of legal, tax and financial advisory in Egypt. It is a member firm of Andersen Global that has 122 locations around the world and more than 3500 distinguished legal, tax and economic experts as well as 502 partners.
The Dean of the Faculty of Law, Professor Hassaan Abd Elhamid, stated that the Faculty of Law was established as per the constitutional law no. 344 for the year 2015 and the academic program was designed in collaboration with London South Bank University on the basis of the concept of “practical legal application” owing to the fact that the Faculty of Law is originally of a practical nature. Therefore, the program was designed to develop the students’ knowledge and skills in the fields of Egyptian law, English law and International law in both Arabic and English languages in addition to the compulsory students’ training. All these elements combine to graduate competent calibers who are ready to work immediately after graduation.
The Faculty of Law seeks to be a pioneer in the legal research field, accordingly the Law and Advanced Technology Research Centre has been established to become a scientific entity specialised in researching and solving the contemporary legal questions resulting from the 21st century digital revolution to cope with future changes.
This protocol complements the training scheme sought by the BUE Faculty of Law.
