

Job Purpose:
Support the Dean and other Faculty academic and administrative staff in ensuring the provision of services, advice and effective procedures that meet the needs of students, staff and the University’s UK and Egyptian stakeholders. In doing so they will support the effective implementation of the University’s Academic Regulations and its quality assurance and enhancement policies and practices, including the implementation of the Annual Quality Assurance and Enhancement Cycle.
Job Responsibilities:
- Act on behalf of the provost to advise and support Deans and the wider Faculty to develop and maintain a robust quality assurance and enhancement environment, incorporating adherence to policy on the management of assessment, programme review, programme approval and matters related to programme validation
- Coordinate with UK validating partners to ensure timely submission and receipt of material for review, attendance of external examiners at examination boards, biannual partner staff visits to the campus, and student exchange and summer school opportunities
- Act as a primary source of advice on academic regulations, policy and procedure, advising the Dean and associated committees on assessment regulations, academic misconduct, impaired performance, appeals, complaints and discipline
- Work closely with the Student Services and other central services, you will support delivery of a high quality student experience, coordinating and guiding central and local initiatives within the Faculty.
- Ensure that the Student Records System is used effectively, and that integrity, accuracy and security of records is maintained.
- Service Faculty-level committees and to attend, contribute to and occasionally service University-level committees.
- Perform any other duties as may be reasonably assigned by the Provost.
Job Requirements:
Educational Qualifications:
Bachelor Degree in Administrative Management
Experience:
- 5+ years preferable in management experience of student related administration in a UK university at a higher education institutes
- Strong record in a management role in student and academic administration in a UK HEI, along with broad experience within a Registry or equivalent
- Extensive knowledge of UK academic quality frameworks & QAA guidelines
Technical Skills:
- Experience of committee servicing and a sound knowledge of assessment and associated processes
- Exhibit a well-honed cultural sensitivity, commitment to working in a cross-cultural international environment and a genuine desire to live and work in Egypt
- Excellent IT skills, including word- processing and significant knowledge of MS Office, including spreadsheets and
- Compiling & Producing reports to adhere the required UK educational standards
- Professional reporting skills
- The ability to manage a number of complex initiatives and relationships simultaneously, often with competing
- The ability to deal positively with uncertainty and ambiguity
