After having worked in UK Higher Education for many years I decided it was time for a change. I wanted to experience living and working in a different culture and when I was offered the chance to work for BUE in Cairo I was intrigued.
The process of getting here was testing but help was available to get me through the sometimes frustrating process, and I’m very glad I did because working here is an interesting and invigorating challenge.
I am lucky to live and work alongside a supportive and growing group of expatriate colleagues, and also fortunate to work with my friendly and charming Egyptian colleagues in the Faculty of Nursing.
