The British University in Egypt (BUE) is proud to announce that for the third time in a row, the BUE team won first place at the local CFA Research Challenge against 24 different public and private universities in Egypt.
The CFA Institute Research Challenge is an annual global competition that provides university students with hands-on mentoring through an intensive training programme in financial analysis and professional ethics. Each student is evaluated based on their analytical, valuation, report writing, and presentation skills.
We’d like to express our appreciation of the BUE team composed of Mohanad Moatez, Nesma Gamal, Yasmina Asser, and Youssef Hamdy who have gone above and beyond in order to win the competition. We’d also like to thank our faculty advisor Dr. Rania Salem, Dr. Dalia Elmosallamy finance specailsm coordinator, Dr. Mohamed Rashwan, Dr. Rania Pasha, and Dr. Gina Eltabei for the great support they provided our winning team.
Special thanks goes to Mr. Adham El Sharkawy, President of the CFA, BUE Ambassadors, Nada Hossam Hashim teaching assistant, and BUE Alumni, Mr Abdollah Hussien, Ms. Manar Shirazy and Ms Basma Tarek.
What makes this occasion even more special is that no other university since the inception of the competition was able to win it three consecutive times, cementing the British University in Egypt’s name in the competition’s history books as the first-ever three-year reigning champions.
The BUE team will also be representing Egypt in the EMEA regional competition where our students will deliver a presentation in front of a panel of judges and advance to the Global Finals based on their performance
We wish all the luck to our qualifying BUE team on their journey to the grand global finals!
