On the first of March, 2021, the British University in Egypt and the Education First Institute signed an MOU. It was signed by Professor Yehia Bahei-El-Din, acting President of the British University in Egypt and University Vice President for Research and Post-Graduate Studies, Professor Shadia Fahim Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities at the British University in Egypt and Professor Salma El Bakry Chairperson of Education First Institute.
Within the framework of the signed protocol, the Faculty of Arts & Humanities at the British University in Egypt aims to promote cooperation with the Education First Institute to enrich the prospects of academic and vocational opportunities that can be offered by both parties to graduates.
Professor Yehia Bahei El-Din explained that the British University is taking confident steps to be a “fourth-generation” university after investing its efforts in education and the field of scientific research.
Professor Shadia Fahim stressed that cooperation between academic and professional educational institutions is the most efficient way to support students and graduates. The Faculty of Arts and Humanities at the British University in Egypt has been keen since its start to provide all students with an educational environment that helps them to gain skills and knowledge according to the latest scientific and educational curricula adopted in Egypt and the United Kingdom, in order to develop the functional skills that students need in the labour market.
Dr Salma El Bakri pointed out that the cooperation between the two institutions will be beneficial to both parties since the university can provide the institution with qualified graduates to work with, while the foundation can contribute by training these graduates and provide them with the professional skills that they need in the market.
