The British University in Egypt (BUE) was pleased to hold the 13th annual graduation ceremonies, in the past week at the campus auditorium. The university leaders celebrated with the 2,200 graduates of Class 2021, involving different cohorts from 11 faculties; Communication and Mass Media, Pharmacy, Dentistry, Engineering, Energy and Environmental Engineering, Nursing, Business Administration, Economics and Political Science, Informatics and Computer Science (who celebrated its first cohort of the Artificial Intelligence specialization) and finally, the Faculty of Arts and Humanities and the Faculty of Law.
During the elegant and festive ceremony, Professor Mohamed Loutfi, BUE’s President and Vice-Chancellor, and Professor Yehia Bahei-El-Din, Deputy Vice-Chancellor and Vice President for Research and Enterprise presented the Mohamed Farid Khamis Award for Scientific Excellence for the year 2021 to three scientists; Dr. Mehrez Al Sayed Najar in the field of Engineering Science, Dr. Abdul Rahman Salah Mayhoub in the field of Medical and Health Sciences, and Dr. Hossam Mohamed Ahmed Ismail in the field of Humanities.
The BUE was thrilled to host H.E. Dr. Nabila Makram, the Minister of Immigration and Expatriates Affairs, as a keynote speaker, next to Mrs. Farida Khamis, the Chair of the Board of Trustees, President Loutfi, Professor Ayman Ashour, the Vice Minister of Higher Education, Mrs. Elham Shahin and Mrs. Manal Salama, renowned thespians.
During his Speech President Loutfi welcomed the parents and students with warm greetings, thanked them for entrusting the BUE with their future, and praised the fresh graduates for their excellence and commitment during the special and difficult study years.
The ceremony was also attended by the esteemed Deans of all the Faculties, along with their academic members.
