The British University in Egypt (BUE) is proud to announce that under the auspices of Professor Mohey Elmazar, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, the faculty carried out the third medical convoy to Korsaya Village in collaboration with Rotary Egypt (District 2451). This convoy aims to provide follow-up medical services and health care awareness to the citizens of this highly needed area.
The visit was done under the supervision of Dr. Noha Gamaleldin and Dr. Moataz Sobhy, with the participation of five faculty students representing the EPSF and the Pharmacy Student Union, as well as two Pharmacy graduates.
Medical examinations were provided to the village residents related to various medical fields such as Paediatrics, Ophthalmology, Otorhinolaryngology, Orthopadeology, and Nutritional Guidance.
What distinguished this visit from the rest were the various eye examinations conducted for a large number of Korsaya Village residents. Providing individuals in need with free eyeglasses, dispensing over 250 prescriptions, and offering exclusive patient counseling related to many public health issues.
The Faculty of Pharmacy students and graduates were in charge of organizing the on-site pharmacy and they made sure that everything went smoothly and that the village residents got the required medical care.
We’re proud of all our students for their pivotal role in helping those in need, as well as the faculty dean and professors for organizing the visit.
